The Spelling of the Bees!

SYSTEM students celebrated their MyOn Book Club achievements for the second quarter with a Big Popcorn Party, recognizing Perfect Attendance for January. Three students were awarded trophies for earning the most points.

The Spelling Bee Champion was 5th grader Jeremiah Aketachunak from Ms. Anderson and Ms. P. Brown's class, who won 1st Place and a Chick-fil-A gift card. The 2nd and 3rd Place winners also received trophies, and all participants were acknowledged with smaller trophies. The 3rd National African American Spelling Bee 2025 took place on February 26th. Special thanks to our judges, Mr. Breeden, Ms. Blue, and Ms. Swift, as well as Mr. Streeter for being our Spelling Bee Caller for three years.
