Leadership was on full display as Partners In Ministry’s Upward Bound students participated in leadership speeches as part of this year’s student election process!

Students interested in serving in President, Vice President, and other Executive Board positions had the opportunity to stand before their peers and share their ideas, goals, and vision for the upcoming year.

The speeches gave students a chance to practice important skills such as public speaking, communication, confidence, and leadership. More importantly, students had the opportunity to hear from their peers before casting their votes.

Through experiences like this, Upward Bound encourages students to take an active role in their program and develop leadership skills that can benefit them in school, college, careers, and their communities.
